City Solarium Throw Pattern

Pattern Overview:

• Gauge: 12 double crochet (dc) and 6 rows = 4” [10 cm].

Instructions:

1. Make 10 with C as Color 1.
2. Make 10 with D as Color 1.
3. Make 10 with E as Color 1.

Pattern:

With Color 1 (C/D/E), chain 5. Join with slip stitch (sl st) to first chain to form ring.

1st round: Chain 3 (counts as dc). 23 dc in ring. Join F with sl st to top of ch 3. Break Color 1. 24 dc.
2nd round: With F, ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1). 1 dc in next dc. Ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join B with sl st to 3rd ch of ch 4. Break F.

3rd round: With B, ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. Ch 2. Miss first ch-1 sp and dc. (1 sc. Ch 11. 1 sc) in next ch-1 sp. Ch 2. Miss next dc and ch-1 sp. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to first sc.
4th round: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. (7 dc. Ch 2. 7 dc) in next ch-11 sp (petal). Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

5th round: Join A with sl st to ch-2 sp at top of any petal. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. (3 dc. Ch 1. 3 dc) in next sl st sp between 2 petals. Repeat from * around, ending with: Ch 1. 1 sc in same ch-2 sp as first sc. Ch 3. Join with sl st to first sc.
6th round: Ch 1. 1 sc in first ch-1 sp. (1 sc in each of next 3 dc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp) twice. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Finishing:
Sew motifs together as shown in diagram.

Border:
Join A with sl st to any ch-3 sp at corner of blanket.
1st round: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 4 dc in same sp. 1 dc in each st around, working 5 dc in each corner. Join F with sl st to top of ch-3. Break A.
2nd round: With F, ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each st around, working 5 dc in 3rd dc of each corner ch-5 group. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Fasten off.
