Desk Mat
With Color A:
Ch 72, then dc in 4th ch from hook.
Dc in each ch across. 70 sts. Ch 3, turn.
Dc in each st. 70 sts. Ch 3, turn.
Repeat Row 2. Change to Color B in the last st of Row 4. Ch 3, turn.
Dc in each st, change to Color C in the last st. Ch 3, turn.
Dc in each st, change to Color D in the last st. Ch 3, turn.
Repeat Row 5. Change to Color C in the last st of Row 10. Ch 3, turn.
Repeat the sequence: Rows 11: Change to Color B. Rows 12: Change to Color A.
Continue repeating Rows 1–12 until you reach your desired length. Fasten off.
Border
With Color D, sc evenly around the mat, working three sc in each corner. Fasten off.
With Color B, sc in each st, working three sc in each corner. Fasten off.
With Color C, repeat the same process for the final round. Fasten off.
Pocket
Ch 37, then dc in 4th ch from hook, and dc in each ch across (35 sts). Ch 1, turn.
Sc in each dc, Ch 3, turn.
Dc in each sc across, Ch 1, turn.
Repeat Rows 2–3 until the pocket reaches your desired depth, but don’t fasten off.
Sc evenly around the pocket, working three sc into each corner. Fasten off.
Finishing Touches
Using the large eye needle and yarn, sew the pocket onto the mat in any corner you prefer.
